With over 30 years experience operating hair salons across the UK, Nicky Clarke are regarded as some of the best hairdressers in the world, renowned for training the most talented and creative individuals. With a vast array of branded products available, which have set the benchmark in the hair care and styling industry, they came to us looking to have a complete revamp of their eCommerce website.

Once we had been given the go-ahead for the project, it was important for us to understand from the team at Nicky Clarke, exactly what their long term goals were, in addition to both their likes and dislikes of their current website. They advised us that they felt the website no longer represented them as a brand, from the branding and identity used across the site, all the way to the general layout and customer journey.

After a very productive meeting, we were able to put a full plan in place that was shared with the Nicky Clarke team, allowing them to see the progress made on a weekly basis throughout the transition from their previous site, to the new eCommerce platform we have developed.

The Design


Previously, the salon section of the Nicky Clarke website didn’t do justice to the look and feel of each location via the imagery, as well as the inviting team that work there alongside the luxury services that are provided. We made sure that recent, high-quality imagery was being used to represent the brand, along with a bio for each team member and a comprehensive list of services with associated prices for each of the three salons - London, Manchester and Birmingham.

We also implemented a booking system on the website via Shortcuts. This enables customers to book online or via an app and make payments in advance if required. The whole booking system also integrates with the booking and POS systems in each salon, making banking and reporting easier for the individual salons and the overall management team.

One final area that had been a problem previously for Nicky Clarke, was the lack of support and ability to update certain areas of the website, as well as having a team on-hand to provide fast, effective updates for the design elements of the site overall. We now provide an on-going package to Nicky Clarke which includes training, support, and design, as well as the hosting of their website on our servers, for peace of mind and technical help and advice whenever needed.

Our working relationship has quickly developed to a level to include social media management and email marketing services, representing the Nicky Clarke brand and UK salons as a whole - watch this space!
