The Brief:

SNS were approached by Hewlett Packard (HP) to source influencers to create and publish their very own cookbooks.

On the back of HP building a software called ‘Found Us’ that allows influencers to create, publish and sell their own hardback books, we were tasked to shortlist food based influencers who might be a good fit.

To make this a success we identified food and health based influencers who had highly engaged audiences with a back catalogue of great recipes, high quality content and with a proven track record of driving sales.

The books would be made for free by HP and listed on personalised websites for the influencers. The campaign was structured on a split commission structure – based on the number of books sold. So therefore the influencers were incentivised to promote and drive sales, which they would be paid a commission based on the number of sales.

Initially we utilised our in-house platform The Blogger Programme to reach a large network of influencers alongside bespoke outreach to specific influencers.

Summary:

Across the 3 month campaign, we gathered over 500 influencers who had a combined following of over 200 million, with more than 60 influencers being introduced to HP for further screening and onboarding.

In the end, we had a total of 40 books being created and more than 10,000 books sold.

Two that stand out were Holly B Fitness who has over 400k Instagram followers and drove more than 2,500 book sales whilst and Meals by Mitch who also drove considerable book sales.
