The Brief:

Pilot Pens approached SNS to help execute an effective digital marketing strategy with support in content creation and building influencer partnerships.

With the popularity of stationery and writing tools becoming increasingly popular, Pilot Pens have created new standards in the industry through the launch of liquid ink rollerballs and gel ink which have been celebrated by pen lovers all over the world. They are further committed to meeting the major challenges of this new millennium such as protecting the environment and continue to innovate to improve the quality and comfort of their products.

Working closely with the Pilot Pens team we set out a strategy to transform their social media presence. This started with our team moodboarding and brainstorming creative themes and concepts to support a number of key marketing activities and overarching messaging that highlighted specific USP’s of each product.

The Results:

Utilising our in-house studio our creative team were able to produce show stopping photography, artistic animations and eye-catching video content to build a bank of content that represented Pilot Pens tone of voice and aesthetic ambitions.

Initial planning gave us key focus areas ranging from ‘Star Wars Day’ to World ‘Alice’s Day’ and ‘World Chocolate Day’. We also highlighted World Stationery week, focusing on key USP’s of the pens and targeting a range of audiences for each day.

To support our content and to boost these key themes we used our in-house influencer platform, TBP to develop an always on influencer programme which helped drive awareness amongst a targeted audience as well as creating a diverse pool of content to repurpose.

The content was then utilised across social media, newsletters and other Pilot Pens digital channels.

During the first 6 months we collaborated with more than 24 influencers who had a combined following of more than 1,375,000. The influencers produced more than 25 pieces of content, which accumulated over 672,000 impressions and 49,000 engagements.Socially we also produced 90 pieces of in-house content.
