The Brief

Mixam, a global print-on-demand leader known for its high-quality printing and commitment to empowering creators, partnered with We Are SNS for a nine-month influencer marketing retainer across the US and UK. The influencer campaign goal was to build sustained awareness and engagement by authentically connecting with artistic creators, small business owners, and self-publishers, audiences already passionate about design and the art of print.

Our challenge was to balance reach and relevance, ensuring that every influencer partnership felt organic while still delivering measurable business impact. We aimed to position Mixam as the go-to print partner for creatives looking for professional results, from zine publishers to illustrators, while also driving revenue through authentic, story-driven collaborations.

The Approach

To reach influencers who genuinely resonated with Mixam’s mission, we built a multi-channel influencer marketing strategy designed to blend authenticity with scalability.

We implemented a precise outreach system across multiple channels, ensuring each touchpoint uncovered creators with real brand alignment. Our process included:

  • Mixam Followers: Engaging existing fans of Mixam who already followed the brand on Instagram. This generated high response rates and resulted in organic partnerships.
  • Creator Followers: Analysing the audiences of previously activated influencers to discover like-minded creators within their communities.
  • Customer Database: Reaching out to past customers with strong purchase histories, leveraging their existing trust in Mixam’s products.
  • Direct Outreach: Running targeted campaigns via DMs and personalised emails to new creators who met engagement and content quality benchmarks.
  • Third-Party Lists: Vetting Mixam’s 1,000+ potential contacts to prioritise the most relevant profiles for collaboration.

Throughout the influencer marketing campaign, we continually refined creator selection and creative briefs based on data insights. We optimised collaboration formats and content direction, focusing on storytelling that captured the craftsmanship and versatility of Mixam’s print services.

 

 

The Results

The influencer marketing campaign delivered $57K+ in referred revenue and a 6.57% ROI, fuelled by 31 pieces of high-performing content from UK and US creators.

As we transitioned into Phase 2, we re-engaged top-performing creators to deepen their storytelling, expand creative direction, and strengthen brand loyalty. Performance data revealed that Q&A-style videos and Before & After print content drove the highest engagement and conversion rates, helping to refine Mixam’s future influencer briefs for even greater impact.

The partnership not only delivered measurable sales but also built a thriving creative community around the Mixam brand, positioning them as the ultimate destination for creators who care about quality, creativity, and craft.
